Miratis

Siân Matthews’ silverware fuses bold patterns with simple minimal forms. She is inspired by the decorative indulgence of traditional interiors and its contrast with pure minimal contemporary aesthetics. Sian creates these gorgeous pieces from her London studio, using traditional silversmithing techniques coupled with new technology. The patterns that she creates are intricately designed and meticulously applied to the silver, using an etching process that gives the pattern depth and permanence. Siâns' silverware is made to be used treasured and enjoyed. Sian has a Masters degree from the Royal College of Art and has exhibited at several exhibitions including at the V&A and Goldsmiths.
